When Dogs Unchained announced $BOOM, the community wondered how a Dog's level would play into earning $BOOM. Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, Dogs cannot earn different amounts of $BOOM based on their level. This created a disadvantage for anyone who had boomed Dogs or wanted to in the future: They would reduce the number of Dogs they owned and therefore earn less $BOOM because of it.
To counteract that, Puppies are a token designed to give back $BOOM earnings to those who boomed and burned Dogs. By providing Puppies to owners who boom, the Puppies can provide $BOOM earnings that represent the burned Dogs during booming.

Puppies are given to any Dog that has boomed to at least Level 5. This is on a per-Dog basis, not a per-owner basis. Dogs Unchained will snapshot the list of Level 5+ Dogs at a regular interval and enable claiming of Puppies by their owners.

The snapshots will occur monthly. Any Dog that has already received a Puppy will not receive another, regardless of whether or not it has been boomed to Level 6 or more.
Puppy claiming will start Tuesday, October 26.
Each Puppy will earn 7x the amount of $BOOM as a single Dog when staked in the Puppy pool. This is not a multiplier on earnings. This Puppy simply earns the same amount as 7 individual Dogs would.
